Marc Zuili
Marc Zuili (1962-) is a renowned French flautist, excelling in baroque and classical repertoire on historical and modern flutes. He plays an ebony flute (c.1789), once owned by the celebrated flautist Friedrich Ludwig Dülon.
Zuili began his flute journey at eight under Bernard Wystraëte. He later joined the Conservatoire du Xe arrondissement de Paris, studying with Philippe Gauthier and Jean-Louis Beaumadier. Further studies followed at the Conservatoire d’Amiens, where he earned first prize in flute under Martial Nardeau.
He has featured on TV shows and given radio concerts on France Musique and France Inter.
Zuili founded the Les Rencontres Musicales de Clermont festival in Picardie and has directed it since 2015. In 2018, he recorded the first complete collection of Mozart’s flute quartets on authentic instruments with Ensemble Fragonard.
Zuili’s recordings included world premieres of concertos by Johann Joachim Quantz and Baldassare Galuppi.
