Discover this book born from Raquel Lima’s experience as a Flute Teacher at the Escola Superior de Música do Instituto Politécnico do Porto (ESMAE), Portugal. Raquel Lima
Ana Raquel Lima studied with Eduardo Lucena at the School of Music and Performing Arts (Porto), with Renate Greiss-Armin (Karlsruhe) and Clare Southworth at the Royal Academy of Music (London).
She participated in training classes with prestigious flautists including Trevor Wye, Patrick Gallois, Phillipe Bernold, Aurèle Nicolet, William Bennett and Maxence Larrieu, amongst others.
She has performed as a soloist with the Orchestra Symphony of Warsaw, Philharmonic Orchestra of Valcea, Orchestra Sinfonietta and Filarmonia das Beiras.
Ana Raquel Lima was awarded: 1st Prize in the International Flute Competition Friedrich Kuhlau (Germany); Award for Best Interpretation of the obligatory work, by Hugues Dufourt, and Semi-Finalist at the Jean-Pierre Rampal Contest; Finalist in the 1st Theobald Bohem International Flare Competition; 1st Prize in the “Jeunesses Musicales” Contest in Romania. In 2011, the Royal Academy of Music awarded her the prestigious title of Associate Member “ARAM”.
She collaborates regularly with Remix Ensemble. Raquel has also played with the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, Gulbenkian Orchestra, Portuguese Symphony Orchestra and Porto National Orchestra. She is part of the duo of flute and guitar “Duo Pourquoi Pas,” with Augusto Pacheco, with which she released a CD.
