Massimiliano Torsigliere
Torsigliere was born in Parma, Italy. He completed his flute graduation with honours in his hometown and went on to further his musical studies both in Italy and abroad. During this time, he performed as a soloist and also participated in various chamber groups, leaving his mark on numerous recordings.
Torsigliere’s musical interests eventually led him to explore early music with historical instruments. He received lessons from flautists Marcello Gatti and Marc Hantäi, and earning his baroque flute graduation in Verona. He then decided to specialise further by studying at Lemmensinstituut in Leuven, Belgium, under the guidance of Frank Theuns. After dedicating over five years to his studies, Torsigliere obtained his Master’s Degree with the highest distinction in Milano.
Currently, Torsigliere is an active flute teacher in Milano, where he also performs concerts with various early music groups. He has several educational works under the publishers, Carish and Volontè & Co.
