Rhené-Baton
Rhené-Baton (1879-1940) (real name, René Baton) was a French conductor and composer. He studied piano at the Paris Conservatoire and began his conducting career as a chorus master at the Opéra-Comique in Paris amongst other regional groups. In 1910, he conducted Ballets Russes in London and was head of the Dutch Royal Opera in 1916-1918. He composed orchestral pieces, chamber music, instrumental works, songs and a large number of piano works.
