Handel The Complete Sonatas for Flute and Basso Continuo

This 1983 edition of Handel’s Complete Flute Sonatas for flute and basso continuo, edited by David Lasocki, presents a comprehensive compilation. It encompasses the score, flute and bass parts for five sonatas, along with an editor’s critical report for each sonata.

George Frideric Handel

Handel (1685-1759) was born in Germany and is considered to be one of the most respected Baroque composers of the time. His compositional output contains a large number of works including operas, oratorios, anthems, and organ concertos. Handel worked in Hamburg and Italy and was strongly influenced by the great composers of the Italian Baroque. He later settled in London around 1712.
