Walter Gieseking-Composer/Pianist
French/German Composer and Pianist, Gieseking (1895-1956) studied at the Hannover Conservatory, graduating in 1916. He was a renowned pianist of his time and in 1923, he made his British debut in London. This was followed by his American debut in New York, in 1926 and his debut in Paris in 1928. Giesking regularly performed across the USA and Europe with orchestras and solo recitals.
Gieseking recorded a vast number of piano works including those by Bach, Beethoven, Debussy, Mozart, Ravel and Beethoven amongst others.
