Fliphead FLOW Mouthpiece (AM-2)
This new design features a small chamber, a narrow windway, and a curved lip. It provides more resistance, allowing longer notes with less air intake. The high register is easier to reach, and it produces a slightly darker tone. It is also well-suited for easy learning.

Head Joint Testing
Head joints can radically enhance the sound of most flutes. With a vast array of headpieces made by several respected flute makers worldwide, each one differs by its embouchure cut, lip plate and material. Each head joint offers unique qualities, including wide-ranging tonal colours, projection, more/less resistance and ease of articulation.
Head joints come in lots of shapes and sizes. It is therefore recommended that you try the head joint either in our testing room at All Flutes Plus or by pre-arranged trial within the comfort of your own home.
