Chaminade Autumn-Flute and Piano-Falls House Press
Chaminade Autumn-Flute and Piano-Falls House Press was originally written for piano. This edition is an arrangement for flute and piano by Trevor Wye.
French composer, Cécile Louise Stéphanie Chaminade (1857-1944) was also a renowned pianist. She studied composition privately with Benjamin Godard as her father would not allow her to attend a music conservatoire. As a solo pianist, she proved popular with audiences in both the UK and the USA alike . She gave her debut London performance in 1892 and her American debut in 1908 performing a composition of hers with the Philadelphia Orchestra. She continued to perform in numerous concert tours across the UK and US. Chaminade’s compositional output includes numerous piano works and songs, an opera, orchestral suites, a ballet and the much loved ‘Concertino Opus 107’ for flute and piano, amongst other works.
