About

Flautist, Jeffery Khaner has skillfully transcribed Brahms Sonata No.2 Opus 120 (originally for clarinet) for the flute. This beautiful 3-movement, 21-minute work is suitable for advanced students and professionals.

Brahms composed a set of two Clarinet Sonatas, which are notable works in the clarinet repertoire. These sonatas were written for clarinet and piano and are recognised as significant contributions to the chamber music genre. The two sonatas are formally known as Sonata in F minor, Op. 120, No. 1, and Sonata in E-flat major, Op. 120, No. 2.

The Sonata in E-flat major, Op. 120, No. 2, completed in the same year, is divided into four movements: Allegro amabile, Allegro appassionato, Andante con moto, and Allegro.
