Debussy’s “Syrinx” was composed in 1913 and later published in 1927. This ethereal work for solo flute is a much loved piece in the flute repertoire. French composer, Claude Debussy was born n 1862 and was a gifted pianist. Aged 11, he studied at the  Conservatoire. at age 11. Debussy established himself as one of the most renowned figures of French music.
