Salvatore Faulisi
Salvatore Faulisi has designed and marketed a range of flute mouthpieces under his own label, played by top performers around the world.
His journey began as a late-starting flautist trained by André Guérin in Chambéry. Guided by kind yet rigorous mentorship, he developed deep expertise. Encouragement from the Burgos family and friendship with talented flautist Gilles Burgos shaped his path. While aspiring to excel, he realized his calling lay elsewhere.
At 20, he eagerly embraced a trade in Paris after 5 years of intense training on various instruments. A profound connection with the flute emerged. With respect for mentors, including 2 who significantly shaped his career, Salvatore took a sabbatical in 1981. He chose Paris over Milan and established La flûte Traversière in 1983, a decision born from passion and dedication.
