Both were also composers and produced numerous compositions of their own as well as arrangements of famous works by their contemporaries.\u003cbr\u003eThe latter included their fantasies on themes from Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYoel Gamzou has combined both arrangements to create the orchestral version of the Fantasy on La Traviata which is also published by Universal Edition. The present edition of the Fantasy on La Traviata for flute and piano also serves as the piano score of Yoel Gamzou’s orchestral version that is published by Universal Edition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe musicians are always on the lookout for new sounds and interesting repertoire that give our instrument an unmistakable profile. Born in Milan, Italy, Verdi is renowned for his remarkable operas, including iconic works such as Rigoletto (1851), Il Trovatore (1853), La Traviata (1853), Don Carlos (1867), Aida (1871), Otello (1887), and Falstaff (1893). His composition, the Requiem Mass (1874), is also widely celebrated.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVerdi’s musical journey began in his early years, receiving lessons and playing the organ as a young prodigy in the village church. He later studied privately with composer Vincenzo Lavigna in Milan, immersing himself in the intellectual and operatic atmosphere of the city. Verdi’s career took off when his opera, Oberto, conte di San Bonifacio, was successfully produced at La Scala in 1839. Despite personal tragedies and setbacks, Verdi’s talent and perseverance led him to create masterpieces like Nabucco (1842) and Macbeth (1847), establishing him as a prominent figure in Italian music.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter a successful career, Verdi retired to his estate in Sant’Agata, devoting his time to farming and philanthropic endeavours.
