Intermittent 5\/4 sections provide a contrast, symbolising the awkward process of navigating through airports and reaching your destination.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe middle movement, ‘Coasting With Eagles,’ beautifully portrays the majestic soaring of large birds of prey gliding through the skies for hours at a time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the final movement, ‘Eye of the Storm,’ the composition narrates the journey of a small plane flying through a thunderstorm. The flute’s initial entry represents the appearance of raindrops, and as the piece progresses, the intensity of the “weather” builds.
