He held a prominent career as a flautist with the Paris Opéra. He later established himself as a Professor of flute at the Conservatoire de Paris (professor of Marcel Moyse), Principal conductor of the Paris Opéra and Principal conductor of the Orchestre de la Société des Concerts du Conservatoire.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGaubert composed an array of music for flute including three sonatas, Madrigal, Divertissement Grec, Sonatina, Berceuse, Deux Esquisses, Two Romances, Sur L’Eau, Suite, Nocturne and Allegro Scherzando, Fantasie and Ballade.
