Its expressive writing reflects both the influence of Debussy and the sense of possibility and uncertainty that accompanied this formative stage in her career.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYears later, *Chardonnay* still retains that youthful energy, tentative at times, instinctive at others, and full of a striking sense of freedom and discovery.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eAbout Reena Esmail\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEsmail is a composer of orchestra, choir, band and chamber music. She was the Los Angeles Master Chorale’s 2020-25 Artist-in-Residence, and Seattle Symphony’s 2020-21 Composer-in-Residence. Her music has appeared on multiple GRAMMY nominated albums, and has been performed all over the world.
