He studied flute and composition at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBonsel served as a flautist in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and taught flute at the Utrecht Conservatory of Music. He was also the conductor of the FASO Flute Ensemble.
