Robert Muczynski

Muczynski (1929-2010) is one of the most renowned American composers of his generation and an accomplished pianist. Born in Chicago to Polish parents, he studied piano at DePaul University (Chicago) in 1947 and graduated with both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from there.

Aged twenty-nine, he made his New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall, performing a programme of his own compositions.

Muczynski became a Professor at the University Of Arizona for 23 years before retiring in 1988.
