Martin Doyle African Blackwood Traditional Flute in D
The Martin Doyle African Blackwood Traditional Flute in D is made from high quality hardwood and incorporates a conical bore.
Martin Doyle makes two distinct styles of wooden Irish flute – a Celtic style flute and a Traditional style flute. Each of his models are designed in a way that appeals to students and professionals alike. Martin Doyle also crafts Baroque flutes based on an eighteenth century Rottenburgh design.
Born in Dublin-Ireland, Martin Doyle’s love for engineering and the flute, lead him to become a highly respected flute maker. Combining his skills with in depth knowledge/research of the German flute maker, Johann Joachim Quantz and the retired English flute maker, Albert Cooper, he founded his own company in 1984 producing outstanding wooden flutes.
